Paradise

Paradise, Montana is located along Hwy. 200 in Sanders County, just a few miles east of Plains, Montana. Paradise was originally developed as a station for the Northern Pacific Railroad. It was a vital water supply stop before the climbing over the Bitterroot Range into Idaho. One story of the origins of the town's name says that was named after a roadhouse on the trail called 'Pair O'Dice.'

The Clark Fork River runs parallel to the town, and provides tons of recreational opportunities, with fishing, boating, water skiing, at the top of the list!

Although Paradise is a tiny community with little commerce, residents are only 10 minutes away from Plains, Montana, which is well equipped with businesses providing all the everyday essentials, and about an hour from Missoula, for those larger shopping excursions. Other towns near Paradise are:  Superior, MT (14.8 miles), Hot Springs, MT  (17.6 miles), St. Regis, MT (21.5 miles), & Alberton, MT (34.6 miles).
