Tarkio
is located just off I-90 just 15 minutes east of Superior (The Mineral County
seat), 15 minutes west of Alberton, and
approximately 40 miles west of Missoula, Montana. A great fishing community,
Tarkio Fishing Access Site is located on the Clark Fork River at river mile 160 on the right hand side as
you float down stream. This little town is great for those who love solitude,
as well as the convenience of easy access to more populated areas.
